Welcome back!
This term is going to be a very busy one with preparations for our next show so here are the details that you will need:

Show – ‘Sunshine in my Pocket’
This year we are holding our show at the Towngate Theatre Basildon. We are all very excited about using this venue, as it will be a great opportunity for all the students. The opportunity to perform in a fully professional environment will enable us to show off the hard work of the students and staff to its best. The shows will be on 20th November 2016, and we will be holding a dress rehearsal in the morning, and then a matinee and evening performance on the same day. This is slightly different from the shows that usually take place at SEEVIC, as we only have the theatre for one day. We hope that this will encourage some of the younger students to take part, as we realise that a show stretching over several days can be very tiring for the younger students.

Show registration days are:

• Saturday 17th September 10am – 2pm
• Tuesday 20th September 5pm – 7pm

To take part in the show you must attend one registration session. Students will be measured for costumes, and you will be able to order uniform and good luck boxes. ALL students taking part in the shows MUST have a Mushroom Theatre Company T-shirt. As usual, we will be looking for adult backstage support and parents/carers will be able to register their availability for this at registration.

Tickets will need to be purchased directly from Towngate Theatre and will be priced at £16 each with concessions for children and OAP’s.
The class teachers will be emphasising the importance of attending as many classes as possible during the next term, as there is a huge amount of work required to prepare for the show. We would appreciate your help in stressing the importance of excellent behaviour in classes so that we can ensure that every student has the opportunity to perform to the best of their ability.

Students will be required to attend rehearsals on the Tuesday & Weds of October half term times TBC.

T-shirt/Hoodie Orders

We will be collecting orders for uniform from now onwards, but please bear in mind that we cannot order individual items, so please do not leave it until the last minute to order uniform for the show.

Costume Help Needed

All our costumes are handmade by Nanny Pat, this is how we keep the cost so low, as we are sure you will understand this is a very time consuming process. So, if you are able to use a sewing machine or are able to help out with hand sewing please let us know as soon as possible.
