Penni Bubb
Penni Bubb
Penni has been a teacher and choreographer for longer than she cares to remember. 20 years ago, she work with a mixed ability group of dancers from Kingsdown & Eastwood School.
This experience shaped the way forward for her, and in 2004 she formed Mushroom Theatre Company, based in an old mushroom shed on a farm. It was soon apparent that this building would not sustain the company in the long term, and so she founded Equal People Performing Arts, a charity which enabled the group to expand its activities, and provide a more suitable premises for its disabled users.
Penni continues to strive for inclusion and equality within performing arts and the wider world, and her work in this area is not confined to MTC premises, as she delivers workshops and classes to young carers, Job Centre Plus, schools and colleges.
