It’s Carnival time!
We’ve decided to go ahead and enter Southend Carnival again this year, collecting money for Equal People Performing Arts whilst performing along the seafront on the Saturday evening. Our theme will be “Rio”, complete with songs and characters from the film, also tying in to the Olympics and WorldCup which will take place in Rio, Brazil.
For those not familiar with our Carnival week activities, we meet at the Studios each day from 10am to 3pm (Monday 15th to Friday 19th August), learning songs and dance routines for the carnival procession, and creating costumes and props for decorating the float. Usually the float arrives on Thursday, and we spend Friday and Saturday on the finishing touches before the procession along the seafront on Saturday evening. It’s great fun, and back by popular demand after giving carnival a rest last year.
The cost for the week of activities is still just £75 (the same price as 2014) per participant, and this can be paid in instalments if preferred. All we need for now is your name, and a £10 deposit to secure your place.

So what’s Jason this year then?
Could be a good one 😉
