The Doitforcharity.com superhero run will be taking place in London in May 2014. Thousands of people are expected to take part raising funds for hundreds of different charities and now this is your chance to join them!
No previous experience is required and with a bit of training the 5km or 10km distance should easily be within your capabilities. The spirit of the event is ‘taking part’ not ‘winning’ so you can run, jog or walk – you decide!
All you need to do is pledge to raise £100 for Equal People. Oh, and walk/run/crawl 5k (or 10k)… but that’s the easy bit!
The Doitforcharity.com Superhero Run will take place in London’s Regent Park on Sunday 18 May 2014 and we have 25 places. Registration costs £22, which covers the administrative costs and your very own Super Hero Costume. We’ll give you all the support and encouragement you need, and will be arranging for people to be there cheering you on. Samuel ran the 5k Santa Run last week, and came back to persuade Mushroom/Equal People to get in on the act too! If he can do it… 😉
If you want to know more, speak to Steve (or Samuel) via the form on the Contact Page, or comment below. We’ll have more information available in January.
If you’re ready to commit to this excellent opportunity then you can go ahead and register here.
Our Performing Arts Life Skills Workshop (PALS) for adults with additional needs has proved so popular that we’re now holding it twice a week.
PALS will run on Mondays and Wednesdays, 9.30am to 3.30pm, offering the chance to meet new people and make friends whilst enjoying the fun of performing arts.
Each full-day session is just £25, or for those enjoying it enough to come twice each week, £40 for both days.
For further information contact Penni on 07985 422485.
A number of people have asked about supporting Mushroom Theatre Company and Equal People PA this Christmas. MTC Staff ask that rather than buy them gifts you donate to the Charity, but it was also suggested that others may want to invite their friends and family to do likewise. Indeed, it may be that you’re reading this page as someone has asked you to consider donating to us rather than buying them a gift, or because someone you know has made a donation to us instead.
We have a limited supply of cards and labels that you can place inside Christmas Cards available at MTC (these have been provided at no cost) and the cards are also available to download and print to pass on to friends (4 to a page). We can accept payments online via PayPal or Just Giving if you want to donate yourself.
In fact, you can donate right here on this screen…
