We’ve had a lot of people ask for a Workshop Day based on the hit musical Grease. You don’t have to be a beauty-school drop out or have tears on your pillow; but if you were born to hand-jive and think that love is a many splendoured thing – or you just want to come and have a fun-packed day with us (which is the preferred option) – then it might just be that we go together and you are the one that (we) want.
There are worse things (you) can do…
So, Freddy my love (insert your own name if not appropriate), give us a call on 01268 906470 for more information about our Grease Workshop on Thursday 4 August, 10am-3pm (it’s during the day so you are free to enjoy your summer nights) at Equal People Performing Arts in Brook Road, Rayleigh.
£15 per child. Packed lunch and drink required. No experience necessary. Hound dogs and mooning prohibited. Grease workshop organised by our very own rock and roll party queen, but Sandra Dee apologises she can’t be there in person as she has a prior engagement alone at a drive-in movie.
Come and join us for our Disney Dance Party on Tuesday 2nd August at Equal People Performing Arts in Brook Road, Rayleigh. A fun afternoon, dancing to well known Disney tunes with prize games and activities, children can dress up as favourite character if they want, and we’ll have face painting available too.
The fun runs from 1pm to 4pm, for children aged from 5, and tickets are just £10.
Contact the MTC office on 01268 906470 for more information or to reserve your place.

It’s Carnival time!
We’ve decided to go ahead and enter Southend Carnival again this year, collecting money for Equal People Performing Arts whilst performing along the seafront on the Saturday evening. Our theme will be “Rio”, complete with songs and characters from the film, also tying in to the Olympics and WorldCup which will take place in Rio, Brazil.
For those not familiar with our Carnival week activities, we meet at the Studios each day from 10am to 3pm (Monday 15th to Friday 19th August), learning songs and dance routines for the carnival procession, and creating costumes and props for decorating the float. Usually the float arrives on Thursday, and we spend Friday and Saturday on the finishing touches before the procession along the seafront on Saturday evening. It’s great fun, and back by popular demand after giving carnival a rest last year.
The cost for the week of activities is still just £75 (the same price as 2014) per participant, and this can be paid in instalments if preferred. All we need for now is your name, and a £10 deposit to secure your place.
