Youth Student Teachers

Student Teachers are appointed by invitation from a member of staff. They are normally students who show an aptitude for teaching and nurturing and are expected to help with the younger students classes and with children who need extra help at MTC. It is a great honour to be asked to be a student teacher and they are expected to work very hard and support staff in class and at outside events.

Anna Wilson has attended The Mushroom Theatre Company for seven years and is a student teacher working with the Junior Drama classes. Her ambitions for the future are to work within the arts profession.

Dione Coffey has attended The Mushroom Theatre Company for the last twelve years and is a student teacher working with baby tap and ballet, infants, primary modern, Special Needs tap and musical theatre and also funky feet classes. Her ambition is to work as a teacher in a Special Needs school.

Samuel Westrop has been coming to The Mushroom Theatre Company for five years and is a student teacher working with the Special Needs groups. He would like to be a dancer in the future.

Hannah Lydford has attended The Mushroom Theatre Company for ten years and is a student teacher with the Special Needs groups. She would love to work with Masters College in the future to assist with classes across all disciplines.

Amber Dawn Lydford has been a student at The Mushroom Theatre Company for seven years and is a student teacher with the Special Needs groups. Amber’s ambitions are to be an artist and photographer.

Hannah Gombas has been attending The Mushroom Theatre Company for twelve years. She is a student teacher with Junior dance, Grade I tap, Grades 1 and 2 modern, Grade I ballet, Specials Tap and Special Needs groups. Amber would like to study drama at college and university with an aim to become a drama teacher working in either mainstream or Special Needs schools.

Harriet Hart has attended The Mushroom Theatre Company for twelve years and is a student teacher working with Baby Tap, Modern, Ballet, Junior Street and Special Needs classes. She would love to move on to Laban dance school in the future.

Erin Gandy n has attended The Mushroom Theatre Company for seven years and is a student teacher working with the Baby classes in Ballet, Tap and Modern. At present Erin is considering her options for the future but performing is a huge part of her life.

Charlotte Button has been a member of The Mushroom Theatre Company for ten years and has become a student teacher working with the babies and junior classes. Charlotte loves performing and really enjoys helping the younger students at Mushroom.

Rebecca Hooper (Bex) has been a member of The Mushroom Theatre Company for eight years and is also a student teacher working with the babies and special needs groups. She would love to become a teacher in the future.

Sam Burling has attended The Mushroom Theatre Company for ten years and is a student teacher working with baby ballet and tap, primary modern and special needs classes. She wants to be a dance teacher working with Special Needs groups.

Erin Turner has been attending The Mushroom Theatre Company for eleven years and is also a student teacher working with the infant groups. Her ambition is to work with children either with or without learning difficulties.
